Error codes

Do you see an error message with a number on your screen? Below are the most common error codes with explanations and solutions:

005 - Enter the parental control PIN to watch this program. 

The default PIN is 1234.

018 - This series/movie cannot be viewed in this country.

CANAL+ is only available within the EU. The IP address used is registered outside the EU. Not outside the EU? Check if you're using a VPN. 

100 - The number of active devices for this account has been reached. 

With CANAL+ Total or CANAL+ Films & Series, you can watch on up to 2 screens simultaneously. With CANAL+ Start, only 1 screen at a time. Check if CANAL+ is active on other devices and close it there.

102 - Watching with mobile data is disabled in your settings. 

In your profile under Settings → Mobile Data Usage, the option Stream via Wi-Fi only is enabled. Disable this if you want to watch using mobile data. Note: Streaming can use a lot of data. In the same menu, you can limit bandwidth by lowering video quality.

372 - The selected device cannot be deleted from the account 

You cannot delete a device if it is in active use.

403 - CANAL+ registration on my smart TV failed. 

The QR code to pair your smart TV may have expired. Uninstall the CANAL+ app and log in again. Pair your TV again with the new QR code.   

407 - There are too many devices associated with the account 

In the pop-up, an option will appear to delete a device that you no longer use. First delete a device and then add a new device.
